Nosh is comprised of several components: Eatery, Catering, and Organic Farming.
Nosh Eatery, 5929 Darrow rd, Hudson OH, was created as a food social & testing kitchen for our Chefs and Guests. We emphasize on partnering with local Artisans & Farmers along with harvesting seasonal products from Our Organic Farm. Food is created by the hands and hearts of the cooks that work @ Nosh Eatery. We showcases quality and creativity with an approachable attitude and encouragement for imagination through dining.
Nosh Creative Catering, throughout N.E. Ohio, provides a Unique Creative Eating Experience with full service custom catering for weddings, grand galas, social, corporate, and private functions. From farm to table & specialty menus to chef driven cocktails, rentals and staffing coordination, Nosh excels in the details.
Nosh Gardens, 1989 Norton rd. Hudson, OH, is our Organic Farm located minutes from our eatery. Created by Chef Rick Carson, Nosh Gardens is a Culinary driven farm. This means that we strive for the best quality from our herbs, vegetables and honey by using only all-natural and organic methods with harvesting at peak times. With the support of Hudson residents Ken and Joyce Kuryla from KGK, we have been farming successfully on their land for the past 5 years. Products: Herbs, Vegetables, Hops, Honey and Flowers.
Meet Team Nosh
Founding Chef /Owner / Farmer & Forager: Rick Carson
Rick Carson is classically trained in culinary arts and has held Chef positions in Hotels, Corporate Franchises, Martini Lounges, Fine Dining Restaurants and Culinary Farm Kitchens with 25 years of experience. Besides being a working Chef, Carson is one of the creators of “Cultivate” a Pop-Up Chef’s Dinner Dining Experience and is also an Organic Farmer. He has been growing and harvesting produce for the past 5 years in Hudson at his farm; Nosh Gardens. He has traveled around Europe, Philippines and the Caribbean that lends to the Global influence to many of the dishes created @ Nosh
Executive Chef: Derek Finnell
Derek Finnell is a self-taught seasoned Chef. He is conscience of Seasonal Ohio Agriculture, understands importance of local farming and community awareness. Utilizing fresh, organic, all natural ingredients with a mix of progressive technique & classical influence. This Young Man is making his mark on the local scene.
Sous Chef: Ashley Lawrence
Self-taught young local Chef with roots from the West Coast. Her skills and passion for baking, special pastries, novel technique, Asian and modern Latin flavors ads to our culinary depth.
Sous Chef: Nick Looman
Events Manager/Mixologist/Logistics: David Messner
Two decades of restaurant experience. Started out in the kitchen then progressed into the F.O.H. bartending and managing several local corporate and high end martini lounges along with 4 years catering with Nosh. Logistics, mixology and events planning are well in his wheel-house, not to mention his MBA.
